BRIEFING FOR INSTITUTIONS
For researchers, public bodies, foundations and technology companies who have two minutes: what this project is, what you can check yourself, how technology and AI are used, and how to work with us.
WHAT IT IS
- A public site in six languages about life in common: twelve worlds of life, from housing and health to memory and the future.
- A research, community and education project. It sells nothing, uses no analytics and asks for no registration.
- Ways to talk: the Courtyard (notes read by a person before they appear), the Open Letter with five small promises, and a form to write to us.
WHAT YOU CAN CHECK
- The Index of Life in Common: twelve worlds, 171 countries, built from open World Bank and UNESCO data, with the method and its limits published.
- The open data file under CC BY-SA 4.0, so you can repeat or challenge the calculation.
- The technology radar: a growing list of signals, each with a link to its source. Claims by vendors are not verified by us.
TECHNOLOGY AND AI
- AI is a working tool here: texts in six languages and summaries are prepared with AI assistance; facts carry links to sources and corrections are welcome.
- No tracking, no profiling and no automated decisions about people.
- One question for every tool on the radar: does it help neighbours to see, decide and care for what is shared together?
WORKING WITH US, AND LIMITS
- Propose a small pilot in five steps; we help with sources and publish the result openly.
- We offer no funding, official recognition or verdict on any place.
- The index uses proxies and has known gaps. It is not a judgement of people.
